The investigation by New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison
into the assassination of President Kennedy, upon which the film JFK
was based, remains controversial decades later.
A large documentary record was left behind by this investigation, which sheds light
both on the investigation itself and its subject, the JFK assassination. The records
available on this web site currently include the transcript of the trial of Clay Shaw
and the grand jury records which were made public in the 1990s.
The AARC sells a CD-ROM, produced by History Matters, which contains these two bodies of
transcripts, as well as related documents, along with sophisticated search tools. See the
Catalog on this web site.
